Sunday, 12/25/05:
My site will be up and down periodically while I attempt some major modifications. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I'm only trying to improve the site.
ADDENDUM: I went through and changed all external links so that they load full page. All other links will still load in this, the main frame.
Thursday, 12/15/05:
Well, it has finally happened. SETI@Home "Classic" has ended. Now we can look to the future of SETI@Home II on BOINC.
Saturday, 12/10/05:
We finally get some current news from Translator@Home....
Tuesday, 12/06/05:
Just added a new Alpha Phase BOINC project, Malaria Control, today.
ALife@Home and XtremeLab are still inaccessible.
Monday, 11/28/05:
B.U.R.P. is back up.
Saturday, 11/26/05:
Well, it's now the Holidays shopping season. That means traffic is going to be horrendous! I hope everyone had a great and safe Thanksgiving, I did.
It seems that B.U.R.P. is down now. And yes, ALife@Home and Xtremelab are both still down.
Monday, 11/21/05:
CPDN is back up, ALife@Home and Xtremelab are still inaccessible.
Yesterday, I worked on the site again. I made major changes to the menu, way too much scrolling. I have made navigation much better and made finding items much easier. Enjoy....
Sunday, 11/20/05:
Lattice is back up. CPDN, ALife@Home and Xtremelab are still not accessible....
Saturday, 11/19/05:
My friend, Rocky, is UOTD at Orbit@Home. He is still with us....
Lattice and CPDN are not accessible. Yes, ALife@Home and Xtremelab are still down as well.
Thursday, 11/17/05:
Updates, to my site, are now back on track.
Wednesday, 11/16/05:
You may have noticed that the site has not been updated for a few days. The site was moved from one server to another, same host, different server. The site will be updated shortly.
Sunday, 11/13/05:
Upon discovering how RSS feeds work, I have modified all my news pages to reflect this. As you can see I am still doing work on this site, on a daily basis. I really like doing this. It hasn't gotten "old" yet.
Primegrid is once again accessible. ALife@Home and Xtremelab still are not. I have a feeling that we may not see ALife@Home for quite some time, if ever again. Xtremelab had a disk crash, at last news. It is taking them quite a while to get back on line. Now let's not start any rumors, ok? These are just my own observations....
Friday, 11/11/05:
I have added yet another BOINC project, µFluids@Home. They are still in pre-alpha phase.
Primegrid has joined ALife@Home and Xtremelab in not being accessible, again.
Monday, 11/07/05:
I spent the last 24 hours redoing this site. Obviously you see the changes. I am hoping that this new design will make navigating the site much easier. I will be testing the site, extensively, to make sure there are no broken links or errors and such. Enjoy....
Sunday, 11/06/05:
I have added a new BOINC project, SIMAP - Similarity Matrix of Proteins. This project is so new that their website contains very little information. I decided I would step forward and place them in the Pre-Alpha phase section. They have no news, as of yet.
Did more work on this front page. Fixed some errors, bet you didn't notice any.... I didn't either....
Saturday, 11/05/05:
Upon re-reading the latest news for Orbit@Home, I have determined that the project has moved from Pre-Alpha to Alpha phase. I have moved Orbit@Home accordingly, on this front page. Word is, they will go to Beta phase in early 2006.
Added a table of contents for easier navigation of this front page. Enjoy....
There is still no response from ALife@Home or XtremeLab....
Saturday, 11/05/05: David Baker, lead scientist at Rosetta@Home, posted the following message on the SETI Number Crunching board:
Hello All!
I'm the lead scientist at rosetta@home, and would like to encourage some of you to join on part time. We need all the computing power we can get! While we have made great progress in the last month with our BOINC project (which would not have been possible without all the great work that David Anderson and others here have done), it is clear that to consistently predict protein structure accurately requires still more compute power. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have about the project here. there are some articles about what we are doing at http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/rah_articles.php
hope to see some of you at rosetta@home!
David
Thursday, 11/03/05:
There is a new feature added to the BOINC website. It's called "Featured Participant". There's a really nice pie chart that shows your percentage of each project you participate in, plus your total credits and RAC. There is also a link to view the top 100 multi-project participants. Click the BOINC logo below to see if you've been selected as a "Featured Participant".
There's still no response from ALife@Home or XtremeLab....
Tuesday, 11/01/05:
PrimeGrid is, once again, responding, ALife@Home and XtremeLab are still not responding.
Monday, 10/31/05:
Happy Hallowe'en everyone!!!! Well, there's another project that joined the "no response" list, PrimeGrid.
Sunday, 10/30/05:
Good news, the project status links are working again! There is still no response from ALife@Home or XtremeLab.
Friday, 10/28/05:
Well, for some reason, the Projects status links don't go anywhere. I have been to the BOINC site and tried loading from there, to no avail. I will keep everyone posted.
ALife@Home's website is now not accessible, it is no longer responding. XtremeLabs's website is still not accessible.
Wednesday, 10/26/05:
XtremeLab's website has not been responding for a few days now. There is no known reason for this, that I know of. I do not know if the science side is responding or not. I do not have an account with them.
I have continued to modify some of the news pages for my site. I should have the rest done this weekend.
Monday, 10/24/05:
Never satisfied with the way it looks. I'm attempting to make the front page somewhat easier to read. I have made some color and cosmetic changes. I will continue until I get it the way I like. I will be making changes to the news pages too. I have also added a re-direct at the old location for this site. I will leave it for an indefinite amount of time, for now.
Sunday, 10/23/05:
This site has moved to new living quarters. Please update your bookmarks for the URL change. I'm sure that I found and changed all the URLs on all the pages. If, however, anyone should find a broken link, you can contact me on the SETI@Home message boards.
