Today, I had to fix a couple project links that took one to the wrong project. The Biochemical Library link went to the CAS@home project and the CAS@home link went to the AQUA@home project. I believe what happened was that when I was splitting up the Pre-Alpha and Alpha menus, I inadvertently messed up my links. This is now fixed! :) Funny thing is, when I first tested the links, they worked. Must be them mischievous gremlins. ;) My thanks go out to Ronny for pointing out the error of my ways. ;) Thanks Ronny! -- Siran

News from BOINC: It seems that a bug was discovered after the release of v6.10.43. This bug does not affect all BOINC users, it only affects those users that are using a CUDA enabled graphics card. BOINC has rolled back to v6.10.18 for Windows, v6.10.21 for Mac and v6.10.17 for Linux. I will keep the current v6.10.43 versions for download from my website. If you are running CUDA, click the Linux download button, which takes you to the BOINC downloads page, and download the stable version(s) from there. I will also note this on my downloads page. -- Siran
Friday, April 23, 2010:
I added the links to my team stats page. Each graphic links directly to the appropriate project's website.
I have removed the following BOINC project(s):
MindModeling@RPI.. removed from: Beta
NOTE: This project does not seem to exist anymore. I receive a server error, when trying to access their website, that states that the page is not found on the server. -- Siran
Thursday, April 22, 2010:
Several months ago I started working on a website for our BOINC team, team USS Vre'kasht NCC-33187. It never really got anywhere and I soon lost the interest in doing it. Today, I decided to make this website a hybrid of sorts. I incorporated a team spirit sort of thing here. It really has nothing fancy like a forum or Blog. Plus, I also added a bit of color to the menu.
I placed our overall BOINC combined stats graphic on this page and added a page that lists all the individual projects we have a team on. The link is below the stats graphic on this page. Each graphic will link to the individual project, with the exception of the retired projects. -- Siran

I have added a new feature to my website:
I have added a popup window for displaying random definitions of terms basically used in the world of BOINC. "Where is this popup window?", you ask. Why, it's very simple! Just right-click anywhere on this page and it will display. I will be adding definitions on occasion as I have time and something comes to mind. Enjoy!
NOTE: You must have popups enabled for my website. You can add an exception for the domain www.sirans-boincnews.com in whatever browser you happen to be using. -- Siran

My thanks go out to David from France for the information. Thanks! Also, I do believe that this will be my last update, for my website this month, since today is the last day of March. :) -- Siran

I have updated the status colored dots for the projects according to their current status. I have also updated some broken links. Open Rendering Environment (ORE) has been renamed to: Renderfarm.fi
Here's a weird experience! I tried to access the project website for IMP@Home and received a message that that I am denied access because my IP address is blocked from accessing the server. If anyone visiting my website here has access, it would be most appreciated if you could look into this for me. I have only been to their site to add them to my website. This is most weird! -- Siran

As you all may well be aware of, SETI@home has been experiencing problem(s) for the past several days. Uploads and updates are highly sporadic. I, myself, have some 47 finished WUs to upload. Currently, I do believe that, the SETI team is hard at work attempting to get to the bottom of the problem(s) and get a fix in place. Connections to SETI are up and down and when up, connections to the database are erroring because of too many connection. -- Siran
UPDATE:
The SETI team seem to be working on the problem(s). For almost 2 hours, access to the SETI website was hit and miss, to say the least. The website and database are working now. All we need now is to expidite getting our finished WUs uploaded and updated. I did have 2 upload which gives me 3 to update. I still have 46 left to upload. -- Siran
