Another subject that needs to be covered.  In the past, we have had some problems with users registering and being found to not be legitimate, ie: they were spammers or created the account for other nefarious purposes.  We will not tolerate this.  If an account is found to be associated with web bots or spammers, they will be permanently banned from this forum and the account deleted.  We are sorry for this, but database space is not infinite.

Please read the message above concerning account activations.

We decided, that the forum will be closed to non-members and open to members only posting.  Should visitors become interested in what we do, and want to contact us without going through the forum registration process first, we have e-mail capability on our website located  here.

The webmaster has re-worked the contact options on the website so that e-mails will go to more proper locations.  The second selection on the "subject" pull down menu is "Forum registration info".  Please be sure to select that subject for forum registrations.  Leave the contact selection at the default, "Chapter Information".  Someone will contact you within 48 hours of receiving the e-mail request.

We apologize for these measures that we need to take.  Spammers and hackers have no respect for anyone and they will never go away.  Thus, measures like these must be taken to reduce the amount of unwanted spam postings and hack attempts.

Drastic actions require drastic measures!

Account self-activation, on this forum, is henceforth disallowed.  Registrations will go through the Administration of our forum for approval only.  The Admin will approve / disapprove all account registrations after a check has been done on the IP address of the registrant.  If the IP address does not show to be associated with spamming or hacking, the account will be activated, otherwise a ban will be placed on the IP address, among other pieces of information.  Unless the current members know a particular registrant, we may also impose a 30 day restricted access / posting policy.

This action is permanent.  The crew has made the decision to disallow self-activation.  As was previously mentioned, spamming and hack attempts will not be tolerated on this forum.  We apologize for any inconvenience with having to wait for approval.  Since our forum receives several attacks per week, this decision was necessary.
