Alpha: 0800 to 1600 hrs
Beta.: 1600 to 2400 hrs
Delta: 0000 to 0800 hrs
      

Most senior officers are assigned to Alpha shift but from time to time anyone may be called upon to work a double shift or even work the graveyard shift.

As per regulation, a red alert condition brings alpha shift on duty automatically.
